5K a year 1 hour ago 1 hour ago 1 hour ago SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Production Line Lead position performs work conducting and maintaining production standards, ensuring quality and quantity according to production schedules.
This position must be able to accommodate the workload of a Production Operator as well as provide leadership for the team.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES Ensure production needs are completed as scheduled or needed.
Monitor production processes and team to ensure schedules are met Ensure high standards of production, OEE and forecasted goals are met Maintain production equipment, lead product standards, and enforce quality control practices.
Keep abreast of health and safety requirements.
Support machine operators in setup and operation of production equipment resulting in efficient runs.
Train operators in proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of production line equipment Train operators on efficient changeover standards Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives by implementing directives Ensure accurate downtime documentation in MES Ensure line sanitation standards are met and maintained Evaluate employee skills and knowledge regularly by providing hands-on training and mentoring to individuals.
Create and maintain SOPs and OPLs to improve operator productivity Prepare production reports, manage inventories and production supplies Ensure operator activities are complied with organization's safety and productivity standards, while meeting quality objectives, including regular adherence to GMP Reduce downtime by coordinating with maintenance team and determining root causes of problems, and ensure corrective actions are taken to avoid similar issues in the future Communicate with Quality, Warehouse, Planning and Maintenance team members to keep production on schedule.
Meet demand by assessing equipment efficiency, reviewing materials supplies and organizing manpower.
Supervise changeovers and sanitation procedures (hot rinse, CIP, external foaming, and sanitizing) and collaborate with batchers to ensure production processes are completed within the specified timeline and budget.
Prepare, calibrate, and monitor production machinery to maintain optimal production levels and consistently achieve daily targets Set and revise production schedules to meet changing demands Minimize resource and time losses by addressing employee or production issues directly and implementing timely solutions All other duties, as required or needed.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
HSD or equivalent SAFETY/GMP All safety policies and procedures will be followed without exception.
Safety equipment is required by everyone and must always be worn while on the job or in the manufacturing or warehousing area.
Safety equipment includes but is not limited to hearing protection, protective eyewear, safety vest, hard sole shoes, gloves, hairnet, and beard net.
Loose fitting clothing, hooded garments, drawstrings, and buttons are not allowed in any area of the plant facility.
